Martine Lévesque became the first senior leader to join Symetrix in 2004 following the deployment of a new strategic direction for the company. She contributed to shape an ambitious business plan supporting Symetrix new strategic intent and also led the set-up of the company’s operations. She now holds the position of Vice-President and Managing Director – Corporate Services and Marketing. In this capacity, Martine is responsible for overseeing the company organizational development and managing key functions including finance, human resources, marketing as well as strategic planning. She has also been spearheading the emergence of a strong corporate culture.
Ms. Lévesque began her career at Bell Canada in 1988. During her 17 years at Bell, she held positions in a broad spectrum of business disciplines and garnered experience in multiple aspects of enterprise management. Her multidisciplinary background prepared her well for the growth challenges inherent in medium businesses, where resource flexibility is key.
She worked in the comptroller’s office, where she was responsible for revenue journalization procedures, and in the systems development department, where she acted as a business needs specialist and contributed to a complete overhaul of various invoicing platforms within the company. She then specialized in human resources and industrial relations, and worked in this field for more than four years as a senior manager. In this capacity, she oversaw bargaining issues for the renewal of four collective agreements and conducted comparative analyses of working conditions at similar companies.
In the turbulence that followed the introduction of competition in the telecommunications market, she joined the Marketing department in 1994, where she held various management positions in marketing research, market segmentation and marketing campaign implementation, and led a complete strategic planning process.
Ms. Lévesque holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal.
