Pierre Camirand is Vice-President – Technology and Projects at Symetrix. In this capacity, he oversees the management of data center solution projects. He also plays a pivotal role in the design, development and evolution of data center solutions. Mr. Camirand ensures the dissemination of innovative technological expertise throughout the company and is responsible for anticipating and reacting to major technology changes to ensure that Symetrix remains at the leading edge of its market.
Before joining Symetrix in June 2006, Mr. Camirand served as Senior Director - Information Technology Development for Microcell (Fido). In this position, he was called upon to manage a team of 300 IT professionals mandated to develop and support all operational information systems. From 1997 to 2001, as Senior Director of IT and Technology for the billing group at Bell Canada, he was mainly responsible for the strategic development of the company’s invoicing systems, work planning for development teams and the implementation of new development methodologies. Previously, he acted as a Project Manager with Société GRICS (Gestionnaire du réseau informatique des commissions scolaires), the fourth largest software producer in Quebec.
