
Robert Novek is Vice-President – Customer Service and Operations at Symetrix. In this capacity, he is responsible for the sales, operations and general management of Symetrix’s Facilities Management Services, as well as for customer experience within the organization. He also leads the development and negotiation of all service-related outsourcing contracts, and the evolution of the company’s service strategy.
Mr. Novek possesses extensive experience in a number of fields including the IT and data center industry, where he established policies and procedures to facilitate optimal operations and the development of necessary solutions to problems or issues. He has a track record of working closely with customers to ensure that their needs are met.
In the late 90’s, Mr. Novek helped establish new operations in Montreal for Insight Enterprises, a leading reseller of high tech and IT products. He was then asked to lead the company’s U.S. operations in Canada, and was instrumental in the growth of Insight Enterprises in this country.
He later joined Capital Allegiance, a consortium of companies to be regrouped as the largest mortgage originator in Canada (now known as Multi-Prêts and Mortgage Alliance Corp.), as Senior Managing Director for the customer service and sales support centers, where he designed and implemented call center operations in Canada.
Prior to joining Symetrix, Mr. Novek was Vice-President of Facilities and Infrastructures at Hypertec Group, where he participated in the execution of numerous major projects and was in charge of facilities totaling over one million square feet in four Canadian cities. He was also responsible for all operations, project management, project delivery and service delivery of one of the world's largest business continuity and disaster recovery center, a 15 megawatt facility.
